Hey9Woz ( Freelancer / Software Engineer / Hacking Enthusiast )

Hello, I’m Yohei Kano (Hey9Woz) 👋 I’m a freelance software engineer based in Japan. This site is where I record what I’ve learned from real projects and experiments—in a format that’s easy to reproduce later. If you think my skills or perspective could help.

1. who’s behind this homepage?

I believe that when something works, it should be kept in a form that can be reproduced later — and I made this site to store those things. I work as a freelance software engineer. When I try something on a real project and it works, or when I finally figure out the conditions after getting stuck, I don’t want that to disappear with the project. So I write it down with enough context so that I (or future me) can reuse it even after I’m no longer in that environment. I publish it because I like the idea that someone can read it, think “I can do this,” and skip a chunk of trial and error. Even if it’s coffee, not code, putting one workable solution here can let someone else use that saved time on something harder. This site will probably keep growing across different topics as my interests change. But one rule stays the same:if it was good, keep it in a reproducible form

2. what this place is for

This site is a public notebook where I put things I’m working on.It’s a single-author site; I write all the content.I prefer to leave steps and context as-is, even if the piece is small or still evolving. So you’ll see different depths of content: some are full writeups, some are quick notes. That’s intentional. If you landed here wondering “what is this site?”, the short answer is:it’s my working log, made public.

Articles

Posts I write myself about whatever I’m into at the moment — mostly development, security, tooling, and learning, but sometimes other topics too. It’s intentionally a bit mixed. If I thought it was worth keeping public, it goes here.

BrewFlow

Coffee brew logs. Beans, ratios, temperatures, pour patterns — written down so the same cup can be reproduced later, or shared with someone else.

Now

A snapshot of what I’m currently investing my time in, used as a knowledge portfolio. I track which topics I’m allocating time to (small, regular, and diversified — like in The Pragmatic Programmer), and I can render the same as a log/table, a pie-style view, and links to related Articles. If you're interested in the “current configuration” of my learning, start here.

Contact

A small hub to get in touch with me — for work inquiries, feedback on any page, or even a simple “I read it!” message.
